Xmas things
Xmas is approaching, and here in barcelona it is dark after 5 PM, for the ones that live on the suburban areas, there isn't much to do, so reading and playing games can be the best things to do when the DSL is down, which thanks to Telefonica is something very common. (I live in the Valles which has an ugly mix of manufacturing, agricultural and second residences, one day I will write about it)
This time I am trying, and trying to read for the second time, The Emperors New Mind, the book discusses about Turing machines, AI, computability issues, quantum mechanics, etc. The text is very dense, and the author goes sometimes too far with the samples or descriptions, so I usually get lost after a while.
After I get bored with the book, I am planing to play GoW,..well I expect it for my birthday...I HAVE HIGH EXPECTATIONS...; The game is absolutely awesome, it is packed with hours of shooting and destruction, with high definition graphics and surround sound, not as fun to play as Halo was, put the level of action and the quality of the models are quite impressive.
Ok, I admit it, I am a geek, so what? :)
